Release Notes

This release added two command line switches to the TestEngineer and Runtime.

Execution Suppression - A command line switch of "/x" or "/X" will suppress actual execution of the test step method. All other aspects, short of execution are processed:
  • Test assembly availability
  • Test class validation
  • Test step validation
  • Test parameter correctness

Environment test property overrides - A command line switch of "/e" or "/E" allows for key/value pair test property overrides. The switch is followed by the name of the environment, which references a section within the TestEngineer or QTF Runtime application configuration file. That section contains key/value pairs that override an existing test property as defined in the test properties file. For example, "/e = mytestenv" may contain an override for TestHome that specifies the home of my specific development environment. There can be multiple test environment sections with in the configuration file.
